BBC Restaurant

BBC Restaurant - The best Sunset Restaurant on Koh Samui.

BBC stands for Big Buddha Café and is directly related to our location next to the entrance of the famous Big Buddha in Koh Samui. Click here for more information about Big Buddha...

The restaurant location is one of the most popular places to come and take some sunset photos. We guarantee a free sunset every time you visit - if the natural sunset is not suitable for a good photo then we give you some of our previously taken photos.

It is such a nice location that the Thai Government is considering putting a marina in the bay in front of the restaurant. A marina in Samui would be a great asset and we look forward to seeing it one day. For more information see: Big Buddha Marina

As a full service bar and restaurant, we serve a wide selection of European food and Thai food in a clean, comfortable and picturesque location.

We have lots of space and can seat up to 140 people without having to cram you in. It is an ideal location for romantic honeymoon dinner, family groups or large staff parties.

Our menu contains a wide selection of Thai and European food.  We also have All-you-can-eat barbecue on Thursday & Saturday nights and roast lamb and Beef on Sundays.

We have moved - temporarily.

We hope that it is "Same, Same but different" - that is: Same quality of food: Same quality of staff, just a different location.

The intention is for the relocation to be temporary and once we have refurbished the old BBC location we will go back.

We are sure you will ask "how long do we expect the refurbishment to take?" and the honest answer is - "we are not sure but somewhere between 8 months and 18 months".

The old BBC restaurant was built 8 years ago and now many things are starting to cause problems. The electrical system is continually causing problems with fridges and breaker switches, the water pumps are breaking or working all day as the pipes are leaking somewhere, the toilet systems are in need of modernisation; the deck was starting to become dangerous etc.

We thought about keeping it open while we did the renovations but we decided that it was not probably going to be pleasant sitting amongst the noise and dust of steel cutting, diggers working on the sea wall, trucks bringing concrete or taking away the demolished buildings etc. Also, the recession has meant there are less people around so we took the opportunity of combining BBC with the Dancing Crab www.dancing-crab.com.

We hope the result is that BBC will be refurbished better and faster In the mean time please enjoy your time at the new BBC / Dancing Crab, we hope that a change is as good as a holiday.
